Coming Out of Survival
As we begin to embrace our multidimensionality and break free from the Illusion of Separation, we are also beginning to come out of survival consciousness.
Our minds and egos have been trained to survive - so much so that they search for and find danger in everything. This is amplified even further for those who have experienced trauma and/or grown up in dysfunctional families.
While this has arguably been beneficial for the technical survival of the species, it has also resulted in the externalization of our value creating a situation in which we are always searching for validation and approval. This creates a self-reinforcing cycle of limitation, manipulation, control, and the desire for power. It creates and reinforces a state of disempowerment.
As we go within and discover that we are always connected to Source energy, we find that we are always empowered - we always have freedom and choice. We also learn that we always have support whether it is physical or non-corporeal. Indeed, we find that we have more resources available to us than we knew. These elements allow us to begin to take risks, learn to trust, and grow in ways that we previously would not allow.
It is important to recognize and allow this to be a process. It is also valuable to recognize that survival consciousness was part of our indoctrination as we grew up. We were taught how to survive, often by parents and others that were full of fear themselves from their own upbringing and experiences. While it is important not to blame and embrace victim consciousness, recognizing these dynamics as characteristic of being raised as a human is also truthful and informative.
Take the time to connect with your heart space and guidance team and consider the following questions:
Are you in survival consciousness? If so, where is this active in your life?
Are you often worried about lack regarding finances or other things?
Is your behavior dependent on what others think of you? Do you internalize the value others assign to you as your own? Has this become part of your identity?
Has this changed in your experience as you have gotten older?
Are you living life more authentically?
Are you taking the time to learn who you are and what you like?
Are you holding new boundaries?
Are you aware when you are doing things out of duty, obligation, people pleasing?
Are you aware of what your passions and inspirations are? Are you willing to find out? Are you willing to explore irrespective of others’ thoughts and opinions about what you “should” be doing?
In what ways are any of these these dynamics active in your relationships and experiences? Are you beginning to come out of survival consciousness? Are you actively cultivating a relationship with self and Spirit?
Are there any changes that you would benefit from making? Are you willing to make such changes or take a new risk? What do you need to feel safe to embrace change in your life?
As we open and expand, we are realizing that so much of what we thought we knew does not serve us and we are opening to learn new and different things.
We are coming out of human doing into human BEING.
We are in the chrysalis stage metamorphosing into the butterfly 🦋 that will be reborn.
And, we are never too old to learn new tricks ;)
