Invitation to Commit
Today, we are invited to look anew at our commitments and to bring our conscious awareness to what we wish to commit to in our lives.
It is true that you can do whatever you want today. Often, after we realize this, we do not continue to take diligent action to support our commitment because resistance or doubt arises. The brain/ego mind suddenly comes up with all sorts of reasons “why not.”
Today’s invitation is to realize that “[a] true commitment is a responsibility of the heart, mind, body, and soul.” (The Enchanted Map Oracle Cards, by Colette Baron-Reid, Commitment, #36)
Indeed, this is what conscious decision-making requires for it is the alignment of the energetics of our heart, mind, body, and soul. If we have not yet brought any one of these pieces into alignment, we are offering different energetic frequencies or signals, which may in turn cancel each other out. In other words, different frequencies will make it more challenging to bring forth what we desire into manifestation and, thereby, cause additional doubt and hesitation to arise - cause us to lessen our commitment.
Of course, with each challenge we also have the opportunity to bring what is out of alignment into coherence with our heart’s desire and this is precisely why challenges arise. This is the process of refinement and discernment that allows us to hone out of the contrast what we are creating. And, this is why asking the question “what is this showing me” is so very important.
Given the amplified energetics of the planet and the growing drama and chaos of the collective, it is sometimes more challenging to keep our centers and our clarity. Today’s invitation is to commit more to self. We have spoken about how we are in relationship to everything - this is how we have experiences and how we learn in this incarnation and it is true whether we live in isolation or in community; we are always in relationship to everything around us.
These relationships are evolving and changing on every level and this is giving us the opportunity to consciously choose and to commit more deeply to ourselves.
In these energetics, we are being asked and supported to allow people, places, things, memories, thought patterns, behaviors, etc. to fall away. It is a purification and cleansing process. As this occurs, we are being given opportunities to see ourselves and our roles in relationships with each of these so that we may more consciously choose going forward. The mind and ego do not like such change and often bring forth guilt, obligation, duty, and even shame to keep us in old patterns. The pain of the past is more familiar and “known,” therefore the mind and ego frequently make it more challenging to step outside of our roles and identities.
But, this is THE opportunity to claim our sovereignty, our empowerment, and to become more of our authentic selves.
It asks us to be clear about what we like and what we don’t - what we want in our lives and what we don’t - and to recognize that we are each responsible for the reality we experience. This asks us not only to embrace a deeper connection with self, but also a deeper trust. It asks us to become the scientist of our own lives. It asks us to come out of survival consciousness and fear so that we may let go of control.
When we are able to let go and soften, we are able to trust that all is well in the world even when it is tumultuous. We are able to realize that sometimes things do not work out because we are being protected. We are able to engage in partnership with self first, knowing that when we do so the partnerships that appear in the outside world will be in our highest good.
This allows more of our heart’s wisdom to shine forward and to guide us. We more easily release what is not serving us and we remain hopeful for what will unfold. This commitment to self is asking us to bring our awareness to everything we do and to learn to let go of our judgment of self and other. It is asking us to engage a deeper level of trust that will allow us to engage a deeper level of curiosity. It is asking us to go inside and get clear so that we may learn to flow with grace, ease and synchronicity = so that we may create and embrace magic in our lives.
The commitment to going inside and connecting with self and Source is the most important work we can do. And, we see why when it is reflected back to us through the mirror of the external world. This requires diligence and “work” everyday - and it is worth it, Beloveds - you are worth it. And, so it is!
