Importance of Sanctuary

We all need a sacred space where we can simply be ourselves. Sometimes this is a place in nature, sometimes a room in our homes, sometimes an altar space.

It can take any form as long as it allows you to feel held, to feel safe, and to feel that you can breathe.

As the energies amplify in the coming weeks, being able to retreat into a sacred space will be more important than ever. It will allow us to feel our own energetic fields and to not take on the energies of others - this is especially important for empaths. It will allow us to maintain greater coherence and anchor that coherent frequency into the grids of the Earth. It will allow us to continue to function amidst the tumult of the devolution of the old systems and programs.

In addition, spending time in sanctuary also is a form of self=love and self-nourishment. It allows us to rest and to restore our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual states. It allows us to feel our bodies and to listen to what our bodies need. It allows us to hear our inner children. It allows us to stop trying to figure everything out; in other words, it allows us to step out of survival and competition.

All of this allows us to be present and this is of profound importance as presence leads to greater embodiment and empowerment.

Presence leads to sovereignty.

Do you have a sacred space for yourself?

If not, are you willing to find or create one?

Spend time in that space each day and breathe into your heart space allowing all of the noise and static of the world to fall away. What do you notice? Does your nervous system quiet? Do you find more clarity as your nervous system relaxes?

Are you able to feel the natural rhythm of your body?

Are you able to sense the natural rhythm of your beingness? Do not worry if you are not sure or you do not think you sense anything at all. Keep practicing and soon you will find an exponential expansion of your awareness.

Are you willing to allow yourself to retreat and nourish yourself consistently, even if for only a few minutes a day?

The message of today’s card is:

“Every dragon needs its cave just as you need your own haven, a holy place created just for your sanctuary. If you don’t have one, it’s time to create it. If you already have a retreat, go to it now. Take the time to recuperate and replenish your emotional, mental, and physical reserves. Indulge in your treasures. Paint. Rest. Listen to music. Soothe. Read. Nap. Now is the time to gently fold your wings inward and let yourself be unfettered from the world’s concerns.”
