It is Easier Than We Think

We are accustomed to things being difficult, challenging, even hard. We learn that if things are hard we have proven ourselves when we get to the other side. Interestingly, this is true whether we “succeed” or “fail” because if we struggle or suffer we have done enough to earn it AND we have a built in justification if we fail. We don’t generally have awareness that we are doing this, yet if we look at our behaviors it surfaces.

This programming is so familiar that some of us still find it challenging to just do the best we can in each moment. And this behavior is becoming more and more visible in others’ patterning as we look around at ourselves.

We are being asked to really sit with this programming - whether we used to do it, sometimes still do, or it is our general way of life. The more we look at it, the more we are able to take ourselves off of autopilot and come back to choice. When we see it, it automatically begins to transmute, dissolve and release. We begin to find it easier to make different choices for ourselves, to regulate our nervous systems. And the more compassion we have for others who are still caught in this programming and hold the space for them to choose their own happiness.

This does not mean that things will not pose challenges nor that we will have to work on things and take actions. However, it invites us into the energy of enjoying the journey and giving ourselves some grace. It invites us out of suffering and creating even more chaos and drama for ourselves. It invites us to step off the mental and physical hamster wheel and allow our nervous systems to calm and balance.

From this place, we are then invited into happiness and joy in the process. It is indeed a choice - and - this choice becomes not only more visible, but also more possible and natural when we can see the programming and beliefs clearly. It makes it possible for us to shift our focus and choose in each moment to be happy, to find joy as this wonderful quote from Abraham-Hicks further elucidates:

“I’m going to be happy. I’m going to skip. I’m going to be glad. I’m going to smile a lot. I’m going to be easy. I’m going to count my blessings. I’m going to look for reasons to feel good. I’m going to dig up positive things from the past. I’m going to look for positive things where I stand. I’m going to look for positive things in the future. It is my natural state to be a happy person. It’s natural for me to love and to laugh. This is what is most natural for me. I am a happy person!” (Abraham-Hicks, Sacramento, CA, March 15, 2003).

What do you notice about how you are meeting challenges in your life?

How are you interacting with anxiety?

Are you on the hamster wheel? Are you seeing others on the hamster wheel?

Are you experiencing the surfacing and releasing of old programming?

Are you find it easier to choose to be happy in this moment?

Are you finding it easier to embrace the journey?

Where does any resistance arise?

What brings you happiness right now?

You are so deeply loved! 🥰
