Shedding

Metamorphosis is not always easy. In fact, it often requires great challenges. The caterpillar becomes mush or soup before becoming the butterfly 🦋. The snake must peel off its own skin. Neither is a comfortable process, yet both are necessary to reach the next phase of life.

The next phase of life is what we are moving into in this year of new beginnings and rebirth. It is time to shed the old that no longer fits. It is time to allow all of our outdated belief and behavior patterns to dissolve. It is time for a full system upgrade, programming included.

We often recoil from change, finding it painful, finding it requires loss and/or sacrifice that then brings forth grief. This pain is our resistance to the part of us that is ready to metaphorically die. When we hold onto narratives and programming, we keep the past alive - we continue to recreate it. This resistance keeps us in a prison of our own making until it is so painful that we surrender or until our body compensates will a dis-ease that allows us to leave physicality.

We have learned that chaos and darkness are a necessary part of change. We have learned that change must be painful. Both we can see playing out all around us. This is victim consciousness, whether we think of ourselves as the victim, martyr, or neither. Victim consciousness is a result of survival consciousness. And this is one of the main pillars of the old paradigm that is crumbling.

When we begin to recognize that change is a constant, we begin to grasp that everything is temporary. Indeed, everything is in constant motion, shifting into a new forms. This is because everything is energy, which is never stagnant. And this is not dangerous as the ego mind would have us fear. The unknown is a natural part of the rhythm of life.

You simply forgot that you set it up this way, Beloveds.

If you are willing to allow yourself to sense the deep truth of this statement, you will begin to have a profound realization - one that cracks the door open to feeling more safe in the unknown.

This new perspective allows us to begin to consider that everything is, in fact, temporary. With this expanded perception, we begin to become willing to accept the moments of discomfort and grief that accompany change. We begin to be able to sense that something beautiful will be revealed on the other side of transformation. We begin to allow, rather than fight/resist the transformational process.

The more we are willing to create a sense of safety for ourselves, return to self-love, learn to trust, and support ourselves mentally, emotionally and physically in finding balance on our lives, the more gracefully and rapidly changes happen. We let go more easily and open to receive more opportunities and resources.

This is the invitation today and in the coming weeks as we shed our old skin in preparation for the energies of the Fire Horse - freedom, vitality, movement, adventure, strength, choice.

It’s time to let go and become!
