Singing Your Song
Seeker Oracle, by Ravynne Phelan
Stories are part of being human. The narratives we create serve many different purposes. Depending on how and when we share our stories, we can create a sense of community and support one another. Shared stores allow us to see that others have similar experiences and that we are not alone. They are also powerful teaching tools.
Sometimes it is a challenge to share our stories. We might feel shame, guilt, fear, vulnerable, exposed, and more.
Today’s invitation is to give ourselves permission to speak our truth and to release the judgments that we have picked up along the way about self and about others. Releasing judgment of ourselves allows us to embrace our value and purpose in this world and it also allows us to see others with greater compassion and love.
What we give to ourselves, naturally allows us to give more to others.
And, sharing our stories also allows us to hear what we think, believe and experience. It allows us to observe ourselves. It allows us to see how far we have come and where additional healing may be of benefit.
Sometimes in telling our stories the old, the pain, the stress, the trauma simply falls away - especially in the current amplified energies. We have the opportunity to heal and integrate.
Exercising our discernment is an important part of this process. Through discernment, we know when and what to share with others, and we create space for everyone to be heard and honored. This allows us all opportunities to learn from and support one another and creates a greater sense of community.
Discernment also invites us to become conscious of the stories we are telling and to choose to no longer tell old stories we have outgrown - for we begin to see that in repeating the same stories we are keeping those energetics alive and present in our now moment. In effect, we are recreating the past. This is very powerful as the telling of old stories has the potential to keep us in old cycles and patterns of behavior.
When we take responsibility and shift our narratives, our lives also shift and new experiences enter our reality.
Thus, mindfulness plays a very significant role in healing, integration and greater wholeness.
As you connect with your heart space today, are there any stories in your life that you are willing to release? Or to rewrite? Are you willing to allow yourself to embrace your power to rewrite or drop stories of the past?
Do you notice a reticence to sharing your experiences and stories with others? Why is that?
Are you willing to speak your truth? Or are you willing to become willing?
Do you listen well? Are you present when others are sharing or are you thinking about your story/what you want to say?
Are you willing to share your truth to assist another?
Are you sharing your truth in order to convince someone to believe as you do or to like you?
What is the story you want to live into in the days and months to come?
You are important, as is your song. Sing, Beloveds, sing!
