The Why of Contrast
We have been trained to feel safe when things are as we want them and as we expect them. This allows us a sense of control and predictability. This also keeps us in the same habits and patterns. It keeps us in unconsciousness. This is why we are being shaken to our very cellular structure and constantly invited into the unknown. It is not to cause fear, it is to spark our perception, our curiosity, our desire to remember.
It is an invitation into the remembrance of our freedom, our interconnectedness, and our limitlessness.
Life on Earth was never intended to be completely predictable ahead of time. Our souls incarnated on a world that offers contrast so that we might learn through it; so that it would inspire us; so that it would cause us to draw forth more life force; so that we would create anew from the quantum field.
This is the purpose of contrast. And this is why we are not able to eradicate contrast from our experiences.
No matter how hard some may try ;)
To do so, would go against the whole point of the game we incarnated to play.
The purpose of contrast is such a powerful remembrance because it allows us to stand in the world in a new way. It allows us to be open to possibility. It motivates us to open to opportunities. It encourages us to try new things and to explore.
Contrast helps us to constantly refine what we are seeking to create. This is especially important now as we are seeing through the illusions that have held sway over the planet for millennia.
Again, it bears repeating - contrast is not intended to cause fear. In actuality, contrast invites us to step out of victimhood and into embodied presence and, hence, our empowerment and sovereignty.
This is paradigm changing.
This is embodying more of our multidimensionality.
This is becoming the active, conscious co-creator of our reality.
What contrast shows up in your experience today?
How do you react?
How do you respond?
What information does the contrast reveal to you?
What do you notice about your frequency?
What would you like to create instead?
What steps are you willing to take to engage differently?
Do you find different results?
What wonders and surprises does contrast bring forth for you today?
We would love to hear of your experiences in the comments section below.
As a bonus, here is a quote from Abraham-Hicks on the same topic.
“The expansion of the Universe and the evolution of all species is dependent on contrast. How could you ever decide what you do want, without living some of what you don’t want? And so, be easy on yourself! Do not try to hold yourself to the impossible standard of only being in a place where everything is exactly as you want it to be. If you could do that you would cease to exist.” Sedona, Arizona 3/15/14.
