Invitation to Face Our Fears

We have been taught to avoid and resist that which we fear. This sometimes appears as denial. Denial may be partial or total. Some of us are so practiced at denial in certain areas of our lives that we do not consciously realize we are doing so.

Denial is a function of the guilt, shame, and blame dynamic that we have learned. It is also part of the old energetic structure of competition and lack. For some, it is intertwined with worth and value.

It is a defense mechanism that each of us has experienced - and - likely engaged in at some point in our lives.

This is why today’s invitation to embrace what we fear is so powerful because facing what we fear with new eyes and new perceptions is the key to our freedom.

And we are more able to do so now than any previous time in our lives.

What do you fear?

This can be the big things or the little things. And may be full of subtlety and nuance.

Look at anything that causes you to feel fear, causes your chest to tighten, causes you to feel anxious, causes you to doubt, and more, not as something that is wrong and must be fixed, but, rather, as information brought to you from your Higher Self and Spirit. Breathe and connect with your heart space as you do so and then become willing to take another look. As you become more willing, you may also shift your focus and look through others prism of the diamond light shining from your heart to reveal even more.

What do you find?

What are you pushing or pulling against?

Are you judging yourself?

Are you criticizing yourself?

Are you willing to love yourself through your fear?

Remember, Dearest Ones, that you are always empowered - and - YOU are the KEY to your FREEDOM.

The poem accompanying this card is:

denial.

a way is ahead

but you do not see it.

the chains are loose

but you do not move.

denial is a pause

often dressed up as protection.

it’s the space between ignorance

and allowing yourself to know.

what you refuse to look at still exists.

what you turn away from still waits.

what you fear

to face

is the key

to your freedom.
