Sanctuary

Today, we are reminded of the importance of sanctuary. Sanctuary allows us the space to reflect and observe. It allows us the space to connect with our conscious awareness and inner wisdom, as well as to drink from the well-spring of nourishment within us.

When we are willing to create and spend time in our inner sanctuary, we become able to hear the voices of our souls and the voices of our guides and angels. This allows us access to our intuition and our Higher Selves.

We are encouraged to create a sacred space in our homes that no one else may enter without permission. And, we are encouraged to spend time here for gentle reflection each day.

If there is not a specific space within the home, pick any place that you bless with your intention as sacred. It might be by a window, under a tree, or even a local coffee shop. You might sit outside with your journal or a warm soothing drink. You might light your favorite candle, create an altar, or take a walk on the beach or in a forest.

Your intention and the ability to gently focus are all that are required.

The mind likes to get caught up in the particulars and create complexity, but specifics are of little importance. In addition, the mind frequently comes forward and says we do not have time, or we do not need it, or we can survive without it, or that we will always be interrupted and why bother. The mind often looks for any excuse not to sit in silence and stillness. It avoids reflection out of fear of what it might see. This happens in all kinds of ways. Some experience the chatter of the mind. Some suddenly have things that have to be done. Some may feel itchy, become thirsty or restless, or feel they must use the rest room as the body attempts to compensate for the mind’s discomfort. There are myriad excuses to avoid the silence.

Beloveds, the silence is not silent. In fact, the silence is deafening because it is not empty as the mind would like to believe. It is not a waste of time. Quite the contrary, in fact.

When we allow space for reflection and observation, we suddenly begin to connect dots and see things we otherwise could not. We begin to get in touch with what we really want and what we need. When we are willing to participate with sanctuary, we also find that solutions and options appear where there were none before - seemingly out of nowhere at times.

Creating sanctuary and through it accessing self-nourishment is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves. Take the time to create a few minutes of sanctuary for yourself today. If you are not able to create a sanctuary in your home or office, find a beautiful place where you can sit in quiet. Repeat this each day.

Notice if you are interrupted. If you are interrupted, what does the interruption reveal to you? In other words, what does the interruption reflect about your beliefs and the energies you are emanating. Are you willing to breathe, connect, center, ground and try again?

What do you notice after spending a few minutes in reflection? How does this influence the rest of your day?

After several days, do you notice any difference in your thoughts? Do you begin to seek sanctuary? Do you desire more of it?

What does the space to reflect reveal around your feelings about yourself?

This is one of the many ways to support yourself in the accelerated energies of 2026, Beloveds. We will return to this and other suggestions throughout the year. Today, is a great day to begin! And, so it is!
